Attended the Shawnee High School in Medford, New Jersey.
Until 2000, he played college ball at Villanova.
Never drafted by an NBA team.
In the 2000 CBA Draft he was chosen by the Fort Wayne Fury as 4th
overall pick.
In 2000-01, he joined the San Diego Wild Fire of the ABA.
In 2001-02, he signed the Miami Heat.
During his two-year NBA career Allen averaged 8.9 points, 5.0
rebounds, 0.93 blocks and 26.9 minutes in 92 regular season games
(75 starts).
On
July 20, 2001, he signed the HEAT as an undrafted free agent and
scored 45 times in double figures, on eight occasions took double
figures in rebounds and recorded six double-doubles.
During the 2002-03 season he led the HEAT in
scoring five times, seven times in rebounds, 35 times in blocks, in
steals eight times and in minutes twice. He also made a career-high
24 successive free throw attempt.
